During the summer of 2012, I interned at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. I worked as part of the Diagnostic Imaging and Medical Devices Unit. Below is a summary of some of the projects that I was involved in:

• Contributed to the compilation and authorship of a WHO report regarding overcoming barriers to local production and technology transfer in low and middle-income countries.

• Coordinated the publication of ‘Medical devices and eHealth solutions: Compendium of innovative health technologies for low-resource settings 2012’.

• Catalogued technical specifications of essential medical devices for use by clinics in the developing world.
